The Babyccino Shop Up was this past weekend and it was awesome! I found a bunch of new brands and stores that are in perfect line with the Plum Joyful philosophy of a healthy, vibrant and stylish life. Here is a recap of the wonderful event for those of you who didn’t make it out, and some of my new favorite things for baby. First off the event was held at the spectacular Lombardi House, both in their amazing barn and around the grounds.
They had amazing refreshments for everyone in the family. Moon Juice for mama, Incredible Acai breakfast bowls from Amaze Bowls for Papa, and Sprinkles cupcakes for baby Plum ( I didn’t let her have one, but she was perfectly happy with the Organic Guava banana fruit pouch from Happy Baby that they were also giving out). Not to mention a Coolhaus Ice cream truck.
Once we were well fueled it was time to shop. Here are the brands/shops that I loved the most and couldn’t get enough of.
Kalon is the company that makes our crib which I absolutely love. It has been a favorite of mine for a while now, and they have these new little stools for children that are so cool and will fit in with your adult decor as well.
Niko + Ava is an incredible online shop that specializes in small designers from around the world that practice ethical production. Their pieces are incredibly beautiful, stylish and functional. These are pieces that you will keep and hand down for many years to come. They had some of the most interesting and beautiful clothing at the shop up. These handmade headbands and little ballet flats were stunning. I had to buy LP the little crown headband because she pretty much rules us.
They also had these amazing simple organic rompers that I loved!
Mabo Kids had the most incredible organic cotton clothing. I literally wanted every piece. So minimal and functional, the fabrics are pure luxury and the shapes are modern and so stylish. I had to buy a dress that I now wish I got in every color, and I couldn’t resist this to die for organic striped drop crotch jumper.
Brimful is an online shop that specializes in whimsical and unique toys, books and decor for children. They had amazing wooden toys, and if you read my non-toxic nursery post on toys you know how much we appreciate a good wooden toy. They are also painted with non-toxic water based paints. I especially loved these Stacking stones. We’ve had to remove a lot of our chotchkes and home accessories because LP can reach up on tables and counters now. These stones would look great as an accessory on a shelf or side table and they double as a cool toy for your little one!
Lexy Pexy is an incredible online shop that sells eco-friendly completely non toxic baby teethers. They are made entirely from maple hardwood that is sanded to smooth perfection. That’s it! I WISH I had known about this company before I had LP. It would have saved me a lot of trouble searching for non toxic teethers. They are in the chicest designs reminiscent of a Paris flea market. A perfect baby shower gift.
Pillobebe makes wonderful non toxic playmats for babies. They are made entirely of pure eco-friendly non toxic cork covered in organic cotton. The Corkimat consists of tiles that connect together so you can choose whatever size you need. The fabrics are so cute and you can rest easy when your newborn or little one spends so much time crawling around on it.
Natti Natti is a company out of Brooklyn that makes organic bedding for babies and children. The designs are modern, whimsical and unique. It is bedding for the style conscious and those who have an appreciation for art.
Over + Over is an online boutique that specializes in beautifully designed children’s clothing made from ethically sourced fabrics. They are designed and manufactured in Los Angeles and sustainability is a big priority for them. They only use low impact dyes and keep their packaging to a minimum. You won’t find any hang tags on their products as they avoid anything wasteful that would have a negative impact on our environment. The prints are spectacular and the designs hip and modern. My picture of their clothing didn’t come out, but I did buy LP the greatest pair of drop crotch pants in a colorful tribal print. They also had these great necklaces for kids and adults alike.
Papergirl is an amazing company out of New York that caters to a child’s imagination and creativity. Each dress has an original illustrated design on it that tells a story. They are colorful and whimsical and either printed with water based dyes or embroidered. Each dress comes with a little storybook that tells the story of the dresses illustration. It is such a wonderful, creative, and interactive way to make clothing. They are absolutely beautiful and original.
The Noble Carriage is a phenomenal online shop that specializes in organic clothing and dolls for children. This company is absolutely AMAZING. The clothes are not only organic but also fair trade, made in the U.S.A., and often local and handmade. And did I mention stylish? They also have these incredible handmade organic dolls, organic swaddling cloths, and did I mention the cutest bathing suit made of entirely recycled materials? So good.
Cho Cho is a wonderful company that makes natural merino wool and cashmere products for babies and children in bright vibrant colors. From blankets to swaddle wraps to hats, Cho Cho is a go to shop for chic and creative gifts. I especially loved these “Clown surprise balls”. They are colorful balls made of crepe paper that can be unwrapped and have a little treasure inside. Such a great idea! A perfect party favor!
Starling is an online jewelry company that makes stunning jewelry for mamas and children. They even have matching pieces for mothers and daughters. They are made of gold with diamonds and different gemstones. LP LOVES jewelry so I have my eye on a bracelet for her, but she’s still a little young and I don’t trust her not to rip it right off, so alas I will have to wait a few months. But no doubt LP and I will be rockin some matching bling. I can’t wait!
A few more odds and ends. Look at those two babyccino’s!!!!! Could they be any cuter?!
Check out all the links to these stores and brands, you will be very glad you did.
Have a great weekend!
